10) Family and Friends
Family and friends make up a massive part of your life, but it also takes up a massive part of your partner’s life too. If you can’t get along with your partner’s family, or if they can’t get along with your family, then expect some hard times and even a breaking point in your relationship.
9) Life Stresses
Life comes with a lot of stresses and they can all come crashing down on you and hit you when you least expect it (or want it). When you’re in a relationship, it feels as if you’re in a bubble and it’s just you and your partner but you need to realize that it’s not. If you keep letting your life stresses affect your relationship then you two will be doomed to break up
8) Side-Interests
In a perfect world, people in relationships will just be interested in their partners and no one else, but we do not live in a perfect world. There will always be someone trying to get in between the two of you and if you even show a slight interest, no scratch that, if you even laugh at one of their jokes, your relationship can be in for a tumble.
7) Annoying Habits
This one might lean towards guys more than girls, but never mistake the fact that girls too can have annoying habits like complaining all the time or bossing you around. Guys usually have more annoying habits such as bad manners, too much aggressiveness, video games, and an obsession with sports. Sooner or later, your partner is going to get fed up and feel like they need a break.
6) Being Too Comfortable
Being comfortable with your partner is great, but being too comfortable can be disastrous in the end. Why? Well, if you start getting too comfortable with your partner then you’ll start treating them like friends and a sister instead of a lover. Sex will turn into jokes, manners will turn into sloppiness, and before you know it they will be out the door.
5) Different Goals
Everybody has goals in life, but if your goal is time consuming then you might end up drifting away from your partner. Relocating, severe ambitions, and lack of communication are all common when one is too focused on their goals and this can end up breaking up a relationship.
4) The Past Life
Two things about your past can kill your relationship and they are: dwelling on the past and your partner dwelling on your past. If you keep thinking about your past life you’ll never be able to completely move forward with your future life and your future life can involve marriage or kids with your partner. However, if your partner starts worrying about your past this can be detrimental as well because they won’t be able to look at your positives, and just your negatives.
3) Moving Too Fast
When you barely start a relationship your heart wants a lot of things like commitment, moving in, and sex. However, moving too fast in a relationship can be bad because it could seem like you are forcing these things on your partner. No one likes to be rushed so take it slow, but not too slow.
2) Space
Having the perfect balance of dependence and independence is very important in maintaining a healthy relationship. Your partner does not want to be smothered in you all day, so they will want to have some space every now and then so they don’t feel like you’re the only thing in their life. On the other hand, giving them too much space might make them feel lonely and also might make them think that you have better things to do.
1) Cheating
This one has got to be a no-brainer. Cheating in a relationship is the ultimate killer. First of all, who the heck would want their partner to be kissing or having sex with someone else other than them? What if you really love your partner and you find out they’re bending over for some promiscuous individual? Cheating is the biggest relationship kill and is something every couple should avoid if they ever want to make their relationship work.
